About Us

Hi there friends! Welcome to MOD Shop, my name is Kris and I'm here to be your guide, mentor, listening ear, and general enabler to your favorite hobbies. I started MOD Shop in 2024 because I was frustrated with the poor quality of service from the big box stores and a general lack of product availability from other local stores. There had to be a way to merge excellent customer service and community building with strong product lines people were excited to get into. Thus, MOD Shop!

The name comes from a long time handle I've used across a multitude of platforms, MooseofDoom (hence M-O-D). While I liked the consistent brand imagery I've been able to  use for many of my endeavors, I also wanted MOD Shop to be a family-friendly place that wouldn't perpetuate negative stereotypes of the comics and gaming space. DOOM sounded so aggressive that I figured it would be best to tone it down for the shop's usage.

What you therefore get is a fun, family-friendly space for gamers and hobbyists of all skill levels to come together to share their passions and develop new ones. Whether you love cards, comics, tabletop games, figures, or something else entirely I'm hoping you find a place to call home with us.
