The Warhammer 40,000 Chaos Space Marines Forgefiend set is a multipart plastic kit that builds a hulking daemon engine — and it's a dual kit, since the same model can be assembled as either a Forgefiend or a Maulerfiend. A fusion of warped metal and twisted, daemon-bound flesh, these predatory war machines are bound by dark ritual and let loose to butcher the enemies of the Dark Gods — whether by raking them with infernal firepower or tearing them apart at close quarters.

On the tabletop, the two builds cover two very different roles from one box. The Forgefiend is a ranged annihilator that scythes down infantry and blasts armor from afar, while the Maulerfiend is a fast, brutal assault engine that thunders across the battlefield — even scaling walls — to rend flesh and steel with massive fists. Both are durable daemon-engine threats, and as Heretic Astartes models they suit Chaos Space Marines, World Eaters, and Thousand Sons forces alike, pairing naturally with units like the Mutilators.

For hobbyists, this is a richly detailed, sinister centerpiece — a mind-boggling array of vents, cables, pistons, spikes, stretched skulls, and the Mark of Chaos across its carapace. It rewards grimy metallics, glowing warp-energy effects, and battle-worn weathering.

What's in the box

  • 1 multipart plastic miniature, buildable as a Forgefiend or a Maulerfiend
  • 67 plastic components
  • 1x Citadel 120mm x 92mm Oval Base
  • Supplied unpainted and requires assembly — we recommend Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints

Build & weapon options

  • Forgefiend (ranged): arm it with a pair of heavy Hades autocannons to spit a hail of shells at enemy hordes, or a pair of ectoplasma cannons for superheated anti-armor blasts
  • A choice of two heads for the Forgefiend — one with snapping jaws, another with an in-built ectoplasma cannon
  • Maulerfiend (melee): tears foes apart with two massive fists, supplemented by lashing metal lasher tendrils or a pair of armor-slicing magma cutters
  • The heads and arms are swappable, making this a flexible kit to build and customize

Who this kit is for

Chaos Space Marines (and World Eaters or Thousand Sons) players who want a daemon-engine centerpiece — ranged firepower or close-assault muscle, your choice — collectors building a daemon-engine-heavy force alongside Mutilators, and painters who love grim, mechanical, corruption-soaked models. The dual-build flexibility means one purchase covers two distinct battlefield roles.
