World War III: Team Yankee — Fulda Gap Starter Set

The Cold War, gone hot.

The Fulda Gap was the lowland corridor through central Germany that NATO planners spent forty years expecting Soviet armor to pour through. It never happened. Team Yankee is the game about what if it had.

This starter puts both sides on the table: two M1A1 Abrams against three T-80s at 1:100 (15mm) scale. Maneuver through forests, towns, and open plains to strike at enemy weak points, or stand firm and let armor and firepower dominate. Every clash tests tactics, courage, and skill — outthink your opponent, exploit terrain, and unleash the devastating weapons of the 1980s.

The matchup is the appeal. The Abrams is the better tank on paper — Chobham armor, superior fire control, and a gun that ends T-80s at range. But there are three T-80s and only two Abrams, and Soviet doctrine was never about winning duels. It was about arriving in numbers. That asymmetry drives every game in the box.

The "Start Here" booklet walks a first-time player through their opening tank engagements without needing the full rulebook.
