They were old when the stars were young. The Necrons slept out sixty million years in stasis tombs buried beneath dead worlds, and now the tombs are waking — one dynasty at a time, and always right underneath somebody else's colony.
Combat Patrol: Necrons is the fastest way to put that army on the table. It's a curated, battle-ready force built around the faction's core identity: implacable infantry that refuses to stay dead, backed by hunter-killer constructs that carve through armor.
An Overlord leads the phalanx, resurrection orb in hand, hauling fallen warriors back onto their feet mid-battle. Ten Necron Warriors form the line, gauss weapons stripping targets down to the atom. Three Skorpekh Destroyers provide the hammer — nihilistic murder-machines on tripod legs, wading in with hyperphase blades — with a Canoptek Plasmacyte to whip them into an even greater frenzy. Three Canoptek Scarab Swarms screen and swarm, and the Canoptek Doomstalker towers over all of it, a long-legged siege engine putting doomsday blasts downrange.
For new players, Combat Patrol is the intended entry point: enough models for the Combat Patrol game mode straight out of the box, and a proper foundation for a full-size army after that. For existing Necron players, it's one of the better value-per-model boxes in the range — the Doomstalker and Skorpekh units alone justify a second copy.
Painting-wise, Necrons are famously forgiving. A metallic basecoat, a shade wash, and a bright green glow on the weapon coils gets you a sharp-looking army fast.
